ABOUT

GRIFDORF is a genre-blending artist from Davidson, North Carolina, creating music that lives somewhere between hip-hop, alt-pop, and what he calls “Space Funk.” His sound is rooted in honesty, emotion, sharp writing, and the kind of offbeat groove that feels both deeply personal and a little otherworldly.

Raised on rap, pop, and rock records he would obsessively study in his bedroom, GRIFDORF taught himself how to write, produce, and record music from scratch. That DIY mindset still drives everything he does. For him, making music has never just been about sound — it’s about building a whole world, telling the truth, and finding meaning in the mess.

His first project, SIGHTINGS FROM MY SPACESHIP (2021), introduced that world through a homespun, emotionally raw lens. Created with his close friend and collaborator Tyler Smith (wxpu), the EP captured the isolation, imagination, and introspection of that time. From there, he continued expanding his voice through a run of singles that each revealed something different: lyrical confidence, storytelling, vulnerability, humor, and heart.

That evolution led to GRIFTAPE (2025), a project that fully opens up his creative universe — blending synth-pop shine, sample-heavy hip-hop grit, and indie-minded experimentation into something uniquely his own. Across his music, GRIFDORF explores purpose, mental health, love, heartbreak, self-discovery, and the strange experience of trying to become who you are.

More than just a musician, GRIFDORF is a full-spectrum creative — a singer, producer, filmmaker, designer, and performer with a strong visual and artistic identity. Whether he’s building songs, concepts, or entire worlds around a project, everything starts from the same place: be real, make it fun, and create something that connects.

At the center of it all is a simple mission: tell the truth, have fun doing it, and inspire people to be exactly who they are.
